Freedom of religion, the right to practice one’s choice of worship. Granted by the 1st Amendment.  Settlers from Europe were facing persecution for they’re beliefs and wanted an escape. In search of free land they found what we call today America. And since then, our first amendment prohibits a national religion, and allows us to choose freely. But do we really have the right to choose? I question that, because there is only ONE way to get to God, and that is through Jesus Christ. We cannot reach God by the means of religion. You just can’t. The Holy Bible does not say we have the right to choose how we get to God. In fact, we don’t even choose God, he chooses us. Man created religion –  it is man telling man how to get to God. It goes against what Jesus Christ said: “I am the way and the truth and the life.” (John 4:6) I understand the purpose of our first amendment, but we do not have the right to choose in God’s eyes. All the religions in the world contradict what the Bible clearly states: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” – (Ephesians 4:4-6)

One God, not many gods. One belief, not many beliefs. One Body, not many denominations or religions. No plurality. There is an established church for the world, which is the body of Christ – The church. By us picking a religion that suits our taste it goes against God. No religion is from God, neither Christianity. God choose me, and I accepted to follow his son Jesus Christ and to partake in spiritual relationship with God. I am in no religion, because religion is false and against God.

We do not have the right to choose, but we do have the right to accept what God has freely (Grace) given us through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only pathway to God. He is the bridge in the divide.  In our nation we may have the right to pick freely, but in sound-truth we do not have the right. We have no religious freedom.

You don’t approach God through religion; not Hinduism, not Mormonism, not Catholicism, not even Christianity. God is only approachable through Jesus Christ. [John 14:6 NIV] Therefore, we really don’t have the right to choose how we worship God.

This world only knows religion, but it is time that we get to know what a spiritual relationship with God is about. Glory to God. Amen!
