Have you ever paid $35,800 for a movie ticket? Chances are, probably not. However, that is not case for those 40 guest who are going to attend Spike Lee’s event for the goal to fundraise for Obama’s reelection.
The Hill has more:
“Spike Lee will host a fundraiser for President Obama in his home in New York next week.
According to an Obama campaign official, the film director and producer will host 40 guests at his home for Obama. Tickets will run $35,800 per person. The event is scheduled for Thursday.
Obama’s reelection campaign reported raising $42 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 while the Democratic National Committee raised $24 million. In the third quarter the president’s reelection team and the DNC raised a total of $70 million.”
