“If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” – Ronald Reagan
Courts ruling in favor for immorality. The sound doctrine (Gospel) being hijacked with self-interest, financial gain, and religiosity. Public expression of ones faith is seen has a menace to society. Yet, ironically, Atheist can leave their mark of denial everywhere. Our reliance on Divine Providence has shifted to a reliance on man; people saw Obama has the Messiah. Ronald Reagan was right, we have gone under.
The acknowledgment of God, and God Himself has been a big part of our nation’s history. On July 1776, God established a group of fifty-six men from diverse backgrounds, but with a common desire for liberty where man can rule over himself; thus through Divine Providence the “American Experiment” was born. Our Founding Fathers relied on God, they acknowledged that God governs in the affairs of men:
“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?” - Benjamin Franklin’s Request for Prayers at the Constitutional Convention July 28, 1787
There are two key things here… First, they’re acknowledging God, second, they relied on God by praying. Note: We can say they’re praying in a public area. Something probably Atheist would say is unconstitutional, which is, far from the truth.
THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE:
The government cannot run the church, and the church cannot run the government. However, the influence and expression from the church should not be separated in our government. Our Founding Fathers understood the great influence the Bible can have on our society:
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.” - John Adams
Our constitution is mere biblical. Our nation is built on a biblical foundation – a Christlike foundation. The principles and values seen in the Bible is weaved into our structure as a nation. Our law is biblical! Don’t let the misconception of Separation of Church and State presented by Atheist groups like the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) fool you, because the way they present it as, any biblical influence in the public square is unconstitutional. No it’s not! Putting someone in jail for not agreeing with the states religion or national religion is unconstitutional, but that’s not the case here in America, because we have Separation of Church and State. However, the influence of anything God-related in government, schools, and anywhere public is not unconstitutional. Separation of Church and State is simply institutional, not influential.
A video on Separation of Church and State:
God’s historical presence in American history is clear. However, we have ignored it, and we have allowed darkness to rewrite history. You see, in my opinion, America is in a deep hole, because we have ignored God. We have forgotten that we are a nation under God. Our structure has been transformed, i.e., fundamentally transformed. We need to restore our nation. Forget the economy. The economy can take care of itself once you get the government out, and let the free market system be free. Our social structure needs to be fixed, because without a good foundation, a house cannot stand. (Mark 3:25) Let’s restore a Godlike influence in our nation again. We get back to God, we get America back to how it’s supposed to be.
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ!” — Patrick Henry
”This nation, under God, shall have new birth of freedom.” – Abraham Lincoln
