YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH

“I’m never good enough, I’m not good enough.”

You probably have said those words before, I’m never good enough – I’m not good enough, maybe a breakup made you feel this way or someone who treated you awful or love-one made a negative comment that made you feel bad,  whatever it is, I feel you. From when I was a mere child to when I was a preteen I got pushed around a lot, well… more like bullied. I felt awful, I felt disgusted — I was disgusted of myself. I felt as if I’m not good enough to play at the playground with the other kids and I felt as if I’m not good enough to hang with the supposed “Cool” kids. I felt as if I wasn’t good enough for anything or anyone. And let’s face it, there are a lot of people who feel that way; not good enough to be loved, to get married, to be a friend, to be a mother or a father, to go to college, to graduate, or whatever it is they wish to do, but they just don’t feel good enough. You might be feeling this way now or probably you have felt this way for years, but that can change, because you have the power within yourself to change that.  There is a bigger and greater force that has deemed you good enough, and that is, God. He believes in you, He knows your good enough. He’s proven that by giving up His son as a sacrifice to redeem you, and to make a way for that way God himself is able to chase you relentlessly, because He loves you and desires you. God used His son a bridge to get to you. Ask yourself this,  would God give up his son Jesus Christ if you were not good enough? No, He would not.

You are good enough… good enough to be loved, to be happily married, to be a special friend to someone, to make a family,  to have a good education… good enough in God’s eyes. If you think you are not good enough, think again, because if you believe in yourself and believe in God, you will discover that you are good enough.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 (NIV)
